9 Month Well Check Up

Yesterday was Campbell's 9 month well check up. We had to wait an hour half before they called us back into the room which was the hardest part of the whole exam. Try to keep a 9 month old entertained in a tiny room with nothing to do on only a 15 minute morning nap. No fun! The good news was that was the worst of it. No shots this time! They checked his hemoglobin levels and they are perfect. He weighs 21 pounds 8 ounces and is 28 3/4 inches long. He is 65th percentile for both. His head circumference was 45 percentile...he might end up having a tiny little head like Joey. :) The doc said that Campbell's heterochromia in his right eye is starting to blend in with the iris. The doc also said that he has hazel green eyes, but I am not too sure about that. They seem to change with whatever color outfit he wears -- just like Joey's! I am just happy to not have "muddy the waters" (as Joey puts it)!!!Dr Martin says he is perfect in every way, but we already knew that!

Side note -- Campbell figured out how to get on both hands and knees yesterday. He hasn't figure out how to move them, but I am sure it will happen very very soon. I'll post some pictures in the coming days.

Slacking

I know I've been slacking on posting in the last couple weeks. I promise to be more prompt with my posts SOON. I just need to get through Graduation and Campbell's Baptism and then I should have TONS of free time.

Brief update:
Today Campbell hit the 9 month mark. We still only have 2 teeth. Not crawling but getting closer each day. He is starting to pull up more and more. I've also introduced the sippy cup. He isn't quite sure how to use it just yet, but loves to play with it. His laugh is contagious and every day he does something to impress us. Children are AMAZING! Too bad we can't stay so sweet and innocent our entire life. Campbell is starting to thin out some and seems to be getting longer. I weigh him a couple weeks ago and he was 21 lbs 4 oz. His 9 month check-up is on Wednesday, and I'll try to post some stats from the appointment.

First Easter

Campbell had a wonderful first Easter! We went to church with G & G Harrison, Andy, Kristin, Kiki, Chris, and all their kids. Campbell did really well during the service except for the occasional scream of glee. After church we went to Grandma Esther's for the annual "Easter at Esther's". Campbell had fun entertaining everyone and being passed around. I am so GLAD that he doesn't mind being held by "new" people.

Good Friday

I had the day off , and it truly was a "Good" Friday. It was a beautiful spring day, so Campbell and I went to visit with G & G Harrison, Trent, Holly, Thomas and Alden. The boys were out of school for the day because of the holiday, so Holly decided to take them to Tallahassee to burn off some energy playing with Trent and to help G & G set up for "Easter at Esther's". We ate lunch, visited with G & G and Holly, and played with the cousins. Campbell had a blast and was so exhausted he fell asleep on the car ride home.

Aunt Holly didn't bring her horses for Campbell to ride, but the next best thing was her Lab, Maggie. Campbell used her ears as his reins. Giddy up!

Mimicking

Campbell loves making this noise and tries to get everyone to partake in mimicking the sound. Fun times!

Connor's 1st Birthday

Connor finally had his birthday party on Saturday. We had a great time helping Connor celebrate his first birthday. He loved his cake and even tried to share with his Mommy. Too cute!

We had some people over to bask in the sunshine. The pool is still too chilly to swim in, but we still had fun soaking up the rays.

WOW -- 8 Months Old!

Campbell hit the 8 month old mark on March 27th, and started hitting milestones at a rapid pace. All in one week, tooth #2 arrived, he pulled up for the first time, sleeping on his stomach, and he started rocking back and forth. He'll be crawling in no time.

Campbell pulled up at the gym daycare, and the lady that was working in the daycare pulled out her camera and captured the moment. She is a Mom and said she never leaves home without her camera. I was so excited that she captured this exciting first for Campbell, but equally sad that I missed it with my own eyes. Oh well!
